Happy birthday, Dr. Seuss!

Today, March 2nd, is Dr. Seuss's birthday! I didn't think about celebrating until I saw that someone on facebook ate green eggs and ham for lunch, and that got me thinking about what we could eat (for dinner, at this point) to celebrate. Call me prejudiced if you will (and I realize that I've obviously missed the whole point of the book Green Eggs and Ham), but I really didn't want to eat eggs that had been dyed green. Or ham either (how would you do that, anyway?). So instead we had ham and cheese omelets for dinner. Then, while the girls finished their dinner (Gracie is a really sloooooow eater), I read them Green Eggs and Ham. And we all loved it. Maybe this will be a new family tradition!
