Thrills and chills

The weather in Utah has been rather crazy lately. For a couple of days it is bright, hot and sunny. Then for a couple of days it is cold and damp, maybe rainy. The day the following events take place, we had a little bit of both. (Saturday) The football game against Airforce Academy started at 1pm and we were excited to go. (That was another thing I had to give up because of my job.) It was pouring rain the night before and still coming down as we walked to the game all bundled up. we had the best seats we've had (and are going to have this season). The first half we got 41 points and Air Force got a whopping 7. We were more than confident. 3rd quarter provided little change. 4th quarter, however, was a series of emotional ups and downs. The end of the game we were barely ahead 62 to 41. That seems like a lot of points, but the way Air Force was racking them up, we didn't know if we were going to have any sort of lead by the end of the game.

That night, Alicia and I went on a double date with my friend Scott and a girl he recently met (or at least started seeing). We went to Thanksgiving Point to go to the corn maze shaped like Napoleon Dynamite. Because of all of the rain, the place was extremely muddy. (By the end of the night, we had about an inch of mud on the bottom of our shoes and on every side of them also) I haven't been in a corn maze for 6 years. This maze had wooden posts throughout the maze in front of a fork in the road. We had a "passport" that gave us questions, and if we answered the questions correctly, we would be led down the correct path. The first half of the maze was not haunted. The second half was. There was a guy in a gorilla suit that jumped out at you, and guys with leaf blowers (that sounded and were held like chain saws). It was great. There were a lot of female screams in that maze. 1 guy, after he scared off everyone else, decided to stay by Alicia's side and scare her more. I stopped and gave him a good shoulder to make him go away. He didn't like that very much, but what could he do about it? Anyway, we had a wonderful night.
