Happy Halloween

So the Night of Frights came and went. I started off my morning by watching the last half hour of an old horror movie. It's kind of funny to see what used to be scary. Compared with scary movies these days, they are really kind of funny. Alicia was able to dress up as an artist at the elementary school where she is now teaching. Other than that, though, we didn't dress up. In fact, we have been so busy, we didn't even get to carve our pumpkin. We were disappointed. Anyway, that night we dropped by a party put on by some of Ali's friends. We were only going to be able to stay for about 30-45 minutes, but it's good to make an appearance. We felt kind of bad, though, because we showed up about an hour late and we were still the first ones to show up. When we left, we were still the only one's there.

Our next activity was a group Family Home Evening we were invited to by some of our friends in the ward. The Taylors (Yes, Danny and his wife) were also there. We were in charge of the opening song and the prayers. Our friend (Geoff) gave a lesson about being people of our word. Then after some gooey no-bake cookies, we played Apples to Apples. It is an extremely fun game. Especially in that group setting.

So all in all, it was a good day. You can't argue with candy and food for free though.
